I don't think the principles of the world care about humans at all.

When we are hit by a sudden disaster, we are reminded that this world operates according to principles other than our own. We should all understand that the world, or nature, is not based on human intent, but somewhere deep down we seem to want to believe that it must be based on the principles we assume. This may be because somewhere deep down we intuitively believe that this world is essentially unknown, and it is a pretense we try to maintain in order to escape that sense of anxiety.

The world we have today, which should be backed by a certainty, is nothing more than a limited and narrow view of the world that has been verified only by human experience to date, and our society appears to have some certainty by skillfully combining such things, but it is a seemingly solid delusional landscape built on fiction. Therefore, when an event occurs that goes beyond this limited view of the world, we encounter it as a different kind of event, an unavoidable disaster.

If you think about it, our existence as humans is absurd from the moment we are born into this world, and we can also see this as being forcibly given the time and space to live our actions in this world regardless of our will. And some time after we are born, the ability to ask ourselves questions emerges within us as individuals called "I," but because this self-consciousness came later than the emergence of this world, we miss out on the basis for our existence here and now.

In other words, without being able to find any basis for why this world exists before me now, I am forced to accept the reality that exists here and now as an anxious and miserable situation, and to continue living in this sense of anxiety is nothing but painful, which is why, in order to eliminate this pain, we have had to forcefully create a fictional world filled with certainty that would negate the lack of basis.

That is the main subject of the history that humanity has walked. This process continues even now, and science, religion, philosophy, and even art have contributed to this activity. Many of them have been singing loudly that the world must be approaching certainty. However, if we look at the state of the world calmly at this point, it is clear that the principles of the world do not take humans into consideration at all. The interests of humans alone can never exceed human expectations, so we must be aware that this is a selfish delusion of humans. However, even if we try to assimilate with nature with a philosophical view that humans are a part of nature, humans who have become self-conscious are ultimately only made to think about themselves, so this idea will also remain in the realm of delusion.

So when I think about what we should do, I don't have any ideas that could act as a quick fix, but what is certain is that we can only live in the world of our own speculations that we create. And the world that we live in will ultimately be one in which we think about what is in the interest of humanity (I call this the artificial world), and I think that this is the only artificial world we can actually create.

And yet, because this artificial world is artificial, it is possible to reflect a certain degree of our will through our control, and depending on the direction of control, the future of humanity will be decided, and if we get the control wrong, a scenario of human extinction could be the inevitable outcome. If we are aware of this, then "universality" that is easily linked to "infinity" and "absolute" that is linked to "transcendence" will seem like nothing more than a rigid delusion that is the flip side of anxiety, and it seems perfectly reasonable to feel suspicious about artists, religious leaders, scientists, and politicians who forcefully proclaim these things.

If I can think of my own artistic views as being forged by deliberately exposing them to criticism of such delusions, then I have recently come to feel modestly that even if the result is that I am only able to present vague discourse, at the very least my sincerity as an artist will be prioritized.
